Job Role

Sales Officer is responsible for acquiring new clients, promoting microfinance products, and achieving sales and loan disbursement targets. The role involves field-based sales, client assessment, portfolio management, and ensuring timely loan repayments while maintaining strong customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements

1. A degree in a business-related field or similar.
2. 2 years of sales experience in loan-related products.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines.
2. Attend to all leads from partners and build lasting relationships with them.
3. Communicate with clients to request or provide information and assess customer needs to introduce appropriate loan types.
4. Assist in developing company, portfolio, and market performance reports as needed.
5. Develop referral networks, suggest alternate channels, and cross-sell products to accomplish quotas.
6. Input borrower information into loan management systems and determine applicable ratios to set up debt payment plans.
7. Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility, evaluate creditworthiness, and process loan applications within credit policy limits.
8. Support the achievement of company sales targets and assist in the implementation, planning, and execution of marketing and sales strategies.
9. Responsible for front-office customer service and brand security; go the “extra mile” to build trust, loyalty, and satisfaction.
