About BRAC Tanzania

BRAC Tanzania is the local branch of BRAC International, a leading development organization that works to empower people and communities in situations of poverty. Operating since 2006, BRAC Tanzania focuses on a holistic approach to development through various social programs and a large microfinance institution. The organization establishes “play labs” for young children (ages 3-5) and provides accelerated learning, life skills, and vocational training for adolescent girls who have left formal education.

Job Purpose

The role is responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure design, installation, and operation of IT infrastructure across all BTFL data centers (physical and cloud), the Head Office, and branch offices. The position also leads cybersecurity initiatives and disaster recovery readiness across the organization.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience managing technical infrastructure services.
3. ITIL certification and a recognized cybersecurity certification.
4. Proven leadership, strategic planning capability, and experience in:
5. Disaster recovery system design and planning
6. Enterprise systems monitoring and management tools
7. Windows Server administration (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO) SIEM, EDR/XDR, and vulnerability scanning
8. Firewall and web application configuration/monitoring (Fortigate)
9. Strong proficiency in written and spoken English.
10. Commitment to the mission and values of BRAC International.
