Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) is a leading independent policy research think tank in Tanzania. Established in 1992 and operational since 1994, its primary purpose is to undertake research and provide scientific evidence to support the national economic management process and policy-making.

Job Overview

Needed Communications Officer to enhance the Foundation’s visibility, outreach, and impact by managing communication strategies that effectively disseminate research outputs, policy dialogues, and capacity-building initiatives.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, PR, Marketing, or related field (Master’s is an advantage)
2. Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience
3. Strong digital communication and social media skills
4. Excellent writing and editing skills in English and Kiswahili

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support development and implementation of ESRF’s communications strategy
2. Coordinate internal and external communications across the Foundation
3. Manage branding, publications, and visibility materials
4. Produce newsletters, press releases, and media content
5. Strengthen media relations and monitor coverage
6. Manage website, social media, and digital platforms
7. Create digital content (photo, video, graphics, podcasts)
8. Support event management, livestreaming, and documentation
