Job Overviews

he Temporary KM Officer will enhance EngenderHealth’s visibility across platforms, support documentation of program achievements, and coordinate knowledge-sharing efforts. The consultant will also support management of the Country Representative’s (CR) social media pages.

Minimum Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Health, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  2. 2–3 years of experience in communication, social media management, KM, or documentation.
  3. Strong writing ability with evidence of producing success stories and technical content.
  4. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  5. Strong coordination and interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Added advantages: photography skills, basic graphic design (e.g., Canva), and basic video editing.

Responsibilities

  1. Serve as a KM link between the national office and regional/implementation staff.
  2. Gather field updates, human-interest stories, and content from regional teams.
  3. Support documentation during events, learning sessions, and field activities.
  4. Ensure consistent messaging across all platforms and programs.
  5. Manage and update EngenderHealth social media pages (Twitter/X, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram).
  6. Support managing and posting content on the Country Representative’s social media pages.
  7. Develop social media calendars and plan content aligned with program priorities.
  8. Monitor engagement metrics and provide recommendations for improvement.
  9. Ensure all content aligns with EngenderHealth branding and communication standards.
  10. Edit, proofread, and review materials before publication.
  11. Maintain an updated repository of KM products and learning materials.
  12. Write high-quality success stories, lessons learned, best practices, abstracts, and technical briefs.
  13. Document program achievements into user-friendly, engaging KM products.
  14. Support newsletters, program snapshots, and other communication products.
  15. Maintain organized archives of photos, videos, and storytelling materials.
